Wonderwell Film Review

We are living in an odd time where films and TV shows aren't getting made and so we have to look in the most strangest of places to see new films and TV shows. Well a film that was shot all the way back in 2016 has now finally seen the light of day and well I think you can all work out just why I simply had to watch this film the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I review the film that is the final film to star the late Carrie Fisher with the film in question being called simply just "Wonderwell" enjoy.

The plot of this film is the very first thing that's wrong with this film as this film has no plot to speak of whatsoever. I'm not making this up either I got to the fifty five minuet mark of this film and I was still trying to work out what the plot of this film even was with the film just having a bunch of scenes that are barely connected to each other in the film and that's really it and when you rob a film a plot you rob it of it's reason to exist an that's exactly what's happened with this film as this film has no reason to exist and is there just to take up space on the your DVD shelf and nothing more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is of course the late Carrie Fisher as Hazel , singer Rita Ora as Yana and Kiera Milward as Violet. Also starring in this film is Nell Tiger Free as Savannah , Sebastian Croft as Daniele , Vincent Spano as Franco , Megan Dodds as Chloe , The Adventures Of Young Indiana Jones star Lloyd Owen as Adam , Niccolò Besio as Enrico , Enzo Attanasio as Operaio and Giorgia Gargano as Anna.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not as bad as it perhaps should have been. As films that typically have no plot to them also have really bad acing in them and while the acting that we got in this film is no where near close to being OSCAR worthy it's alot better then what this film deserves and is honestly alot better then the acting in most other low budget indie films out there at this moment in time but with that being said this films script is pretty bad as it gives none of this films cast members nothing to work with interms of what their characters respective personalities ever are and sot he films cast just can't turn in that good of a performance as this films script just simply won't allow them to do so.

Doing the CGI for this film is Make VFX , Makinarium , the legends and the greats that are currently over at Mr. X , Relevant VFX and Sandbox F/X. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad and was alot better then what I thought that it would be but at the same time this films CGI also isn't as good as it perhaps could have been which does make sense given that this is an independent film.

This film was of curse the last ever film that the late Carrie Fisher ever completed filming for with her from what I can work out either going straight from this film to Star Wars: The Last Jedi or straight from The Last Jedi to this film or splitting her time between both films. Either way even tho Star Wars: The Last Jedi was her final Star Wars film where she filmed new footage for this film is her final ever film and as a fan of hers I have to admit that it was nice seeing Princess Leia just one last time and for that I do recommend that her fans watch this film as even tho this film isn't really that good she is still great in it.

For some unknown reason ever tho this film was shot and finished filming in 2016 it took the makers of this film seven years for them to release. With the only reason being for this long of a delay that I could find being issues with the CGI effects in this film ad that to me just seems like a bad excuse I think that whoever was originally going to distribute the film saw that the film was really bad and decided to drop it but the filmmakers spent the past six years looking for a new distributor for the film once they realized that they could use the fact that Carrie Fisher is in this movie in the film marketing and it was only then they bothered to do any of the films CGI but I could be wrong tho.

This film sets up plot points that you think that they'd pay off by the end of the film but for some strange reason they never do. I can't say what they are because they are spoilers but it's a sign of bad screenwriting when you don't pay off something that you set up infact it's screenwriting 101 to pay off something that you set up and yet as this film fails to do even the most basic of screenwriting things then the film fails even more then it already is as it makes the film come across as very badly written film and it makes the films screenwriters come across as armatures and this something that could have been fixed by having a rewrite of the script and filming new footage both of which are thing that they could have done in the seven years that it took for this film to see the light of day.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty six minuets and eight seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for a low budget independent film but at the same time you really do feel every single second of this films running time due to it's lack of a plot and it's lack of actually likable or even passable characters all of which make this film feel alot longer then what it actually is which is shame because when the film wants to get exciting it can be really exciting it's just that this is an incredibly dull and boring film for the most part and this isn't really helped at all by the fact that this film has really does have some really dreadful pacing to it.

So now then as there is some action in this film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / flt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. In fact it was this films action packed third act that make the film all the more entertaining due to how tense and exciting that it is and all that made me do was make me wish that the rest of the film was like that third act as it really was tense and exiting and very well done as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall Carrie Fisher deserves a better film then this to be her final film let alone the fact that this film got a straight to digital release with very little to no fanfare but given just how bad this film maybe that's a goof thing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Star Wars fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very film being obviously Google Images since really alot of this films images that are really from this very film and that are all currently still up and of course still on the great Google Images and all of the images are all really fairly freaking high in picture quality and as well as them all really being really fairly freaking high in definition.
