No Hard Feelings Film Review

 

These days it's hard to find a film that's both good and just pure gun with films either being one or the other. Well there was a film released this Friday that is both and that is something that we all desperately need right now as alot of the films that are out there right barring one or two just aren't that good and so then join me as I review the film that dares to be both goofy and fun with the film in question being called simply just "No Hard Feelings" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a down on her luck Uber driver gets hired to bring a nineteen year old boy out of his shell before he goes of off to college. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being really engaging and really entertaining as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is one of this films producers Jennifer Lawrence as Maddie Barker and Andrew Barth Feldman as Percy Becker. Also starring in this film is Godzilla 1998 film star Matthew Broderick as Laird Becker , Laura Benanti as Allison Becker , Natalie Morales as Sarah , Scott MacArthur as Jim , Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Gary , Hasan Minhaj as Doug Khan , Kyle Mooney as Jody and Zahn McClarnon as Gabe Sawyer.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Which is something that really did take me by surprise as this film is mostly made of very little known actors and actress and so I had no idea what tom expect from this film acting wise and so to see that this film had good acting in it was something that was truly shocking to me.

What I wasn't expecting from this film at least based of off the films trailers was for the main character of Maddie to be so likable. As while what the character is doing is incredibly selfish she's doing it for the right reasons and while she does come across as being a pretty unlikable character at times as the film goes on we see that she's not afraid to stand up for people that she likes even if it means that she herself would end up in trouble and these go along way to help making her a very likable and fun character.

This film is not afraid to be nothing more then goofy and fun and sometimes that's all you want and need from a film. As not every single film ever made needs to be a deep thought provoking film sometimes just being a fun and goofy movie is all you need and given that this film is currently beating The Flash at the box office right now it seems like a lot of people agree and I hope that Hollywood takes notice as fun an goofy movies are great films to have come out in the summer time when people are looking for some goofy ad fun movies to watch.

While this film is a very good film it's not a flawless film as this film does have some faults with in it the first of which being that this film is basically a lier revealed story. Which are always predictable and are always very easy to write as you already have a source of conflict and the other thing being that while the characters are likable and the plot is solid the idea is just very icky which I get is the point and the characters do call that out several times in the film it's still something that should have been handled alot better.

You might be forgiven for thinking that this film is a romance film as this film does include alot of those elements. However this film subverts your expectations by not going fully down that route which was something that I really loved as it made the film feel all the more predictable and not only that it also felt right for the characters as well as these characters wouldn't take go down that path at this stage in their lives just yet and so having this film go down the route that it goes down made an awful lot of sense.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty eight minuets and fifty nine seconds. Which for this film was the absolutely right amount of time to last as this film really doesn't have alot there interms of either plot and story and so stretching this film to even just two hours long would be stretching an already thin story even thinner and make all the of the issues that I mentioned seem more major then what they actually are but I will admit that this film does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this film having alot of really laugh out loud moments and what helps this films comedy is that these jokes are very character driven and they feel like jokes that these characters really would make in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film was alot better then what it really has any right to be and it's a film that I can see getting quite alot of positive reviews not only from critics but also from audience members as well as it is that good of a film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film i this very review and as such that  really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.
