Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Film Review
Every so often there comes along a film that changes the game for animation in the nineties we had Toy Story in the thirties we had Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. Well in just a few short days time we are getting a sequel to film that changed the game once in 2018 with alot of animated films now copying the style of animation in this film and so then join me as I review the film was a game changer for the world of animated films everywhere with the film in question being called simply just "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse" enjoy.
The plot of this film is when every dimension is under threat new Spider-Man Miles Morales must team up with other Spider-People from other dimension to stop this threat once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then I personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being oddly refreshing for a Marvel animated film and was also very engaging and entertaining as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Shameik Moore as Miles Morales / Spider-Man and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker / Spider-Man. Also starring in this film is Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman , Chris Pine as Peter Parker / Spider-Man , Mahershala Ali as Aaron Davis / Prowler , Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis , Lily Tomlin as May Parker , Luna Lauren Vélez as Rio Morales , Zoë Kravitz as Mary Jane "MJ" Parker , John Mulaney as Peter Porker / Spider-Ham , Kimiko Glenn as Peni Parker / SP//dr , Nicolas Cage as Peter Parker / Spider-Man Noir , Kathryn Hahn as Doctor Olivia "Liv" Octavius and Liev Schreiber as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films cast turning in some really performances which shouldn't be all that surprising as this films script is really good and all the cast have to do is just say the lines as their written and good performance will come out naturally.
Doing the animation for this film is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Sony Pictures Imageworks. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this film using a mixture of animation techniques to bring this film to life all of which blend together really well.
This film handles all of the main heroes backstories in a way that does feel fresh and different with this film telling all of their backstories in quick segments spread out all throughout the movie. Which is a shockingly good idea even more so when you take into account that alot of the main stream audience wouldn't know who alot of these other Spider-People are and so making it into a running joke that this is the last time that there telling their backstory in this way was a really good idea and it's one that really doesn't overstay it's welcome either.
I won't lie and say that this is the best Spider-Man film ever made as that comes down to personal opinion then anything else. However I will say that this film does have it's fair share of faults and flaws like for example it makes no sense as to why Miles would have hide from his roommate when all of the other Spider-People are there as he is meant to be living there anyway and Kingpins scheme also doesn't make any sense either as they point out in the film that Kingpin would end up destroying all universes with his scheme and so he'd up loosing his wife and son anyways but those are very minor issues.
What isn't a minor issue however is the fact that Gwen who has been in Miles's universe for a week up until this point has only just now started to feel the effects of being in another dimension. Where as all of the other Spider-People start to feel the effects pretty much straight away if not just a few short hours after arriving this means that theoretically Gwen should have died behind in Miles's universe and not have been around for this films running time but for some strange reason she only feels the effects of being in a new dimension only when the other Spider-People do which still makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this films running time even was I do know that for a fact that this film has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly one hour and fifty minuets. Which is a long time for an animated film to last but to this films credit it does have more then enough story to cover that running time and again to this films credit this film really does have some really good pacing to it with this film really just flying right on by because the pacing for this film is just that good.
So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was really creative. With this films action being where the animation gets to truly shine as each punch and kick flies out the screen and with "Bam" and other such things appearing on screen it makes this films action feel like it just came right out of the pages of a comic book in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall this was a really fun film and Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse has alot to live up to if it hopes to be even half as good if not better then what this film is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very from the official Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse fandom wiki page , the official Marvel Database fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being Google Images this is because all of the images that I got and that currently up , featured and on Google Images are all really fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
