The Railway Children Return Film Review

It's now becoming a very common thing for a sequel to a classic film to made and released however so far those have all been American made films. However not to let the side down as it were us British have now released a sequel to a now nearly fifty year old film and well i've just had the chance to see it and so then join me as I review the film that might very well be the best British film of this summer with the film in question being called simply just "The Railway Children Return" enjoy.

The plot of this film is after being evacuated to the country side at the very height of world war 2 some siblings and their new friend befriend an American boy and have to help him escape before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that and with this films plot being genuinely quite entertaining and filled with childlike wonder and innocence in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Beau Gadsden as Lily Watts , Austin Haynes as Thomas Waterbury and Eden Hamilton as Pattie Watts. Also starring in this film is Zac Cudby as Ted Watts , KJ Aikens as Abraham "Abe" McCarthy , Jenny Agutter as Roberta "Bobbie" Waterbury , Tom Courtenay as Uncle Walter , Sheridan Smith as Annie , Jessica Baglow as Angela , John Bradley as Richard Perk , Hugh Quarshie as General Harrison and Neil Hurst as The School Teacher.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which given who is starring in this film isn't that surprising at all since alot of this films actors and actresses are really good actors actresses and so then of course they are going to turn in some really good performances in this very film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

To me what seemed to be really shocking is that all of this films kid characters are written to be like actual kids. Which for me at least was a truly shocking since in a film like this one you expect the kids characters to be really annoying with nothing likable about them and yet in this film the kids are written to be like actual kids and they thus act like actual kids of this time period and that will always be a very good thing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film is a sequel to the 1970 British film The Railway Children which is in of itself is based of the 1906 novel of the exact same name. While I cannot say if this film is a good enough sequel to this film since i've never seen the original film I can say that this film is very enjoyable and it is a film that should please alot of the originals fans which is a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I will say that this film feels alot more family friendly then how the original films reads on it's Wikipedia page. With this film really lacking any kind of drama and threat since these characters are right slap bang in the middle of the second world war and so there should be this air of threat and doom in every single scene and yet where not given any of that which is a shame because that would have made this freaking film feel alot more grown up and mature and in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

One thing that really did bug me about this film is that the three of the four main kids are meant to be from Greater Manchester and yet they speak with what I think is a Yorkshire accent. This is something that really did bug me because i'm from Greater Manchester and I can tell you for a fact that we don't speak with Yorkshire accents we speak with a slight Manchester accent and that's it and this is something that should have been added into this film as it would have sold the fact that these freaking characters are actually from Greater Manchester in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact running time of exactly one hour and thirty four minuets and twenty six seconds. Which to this movies credit is the absolutely perfect amount of time for this film to last as it really doesn't have enough there interms of either plot or story to last anything longer then that and again to this films credit this film really does fly by since it does have some really good pacing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this film is a drama that means that I have to actually talk about the actual drama that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual drama that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty bad. Mostly because of the fact that this film really doesn't build up it's drama tic moments at all which for a drama isn't really something that you want to be in your film at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is a very enjoyable film but it lacks any threat and doom that should be present in a film like this one which is a shame because when this film gets something right it really does get it right in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being Google Images since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on Google Images are all fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
