Superman Returns Film Review

Superman fans the character of Superman has been appearing in live action films for many decades with some adaptations being good and others not so much. However alot of people seem to forget that he did also have a solo film in the year 2006 and that's the film that I want to take a look at today and so then join me as I review the film that let's face it alot of us forgot about with the film in question being called simply just "Superman Returns" enjoy.

The plot of this film is five years after disappearing of the face of the earth Superman returns to earth and has to stop Lex Luthor's latest evil scheme. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty OK at best since alot of this films plot just feels like a badly done greatest hits record of Superman: The Movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Brandon Routh as Clark Kent / Kal-El / Superman and Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane. Also starring in this film is James Marsden as Richard White , Frank Langella as Perry White , Eva Marie Saint as Martha Kent , Parker Posey as Kitty Kowalski , Kal Penn as Stanford , Sam Huntington as Jimmy Olsen , the late and the most certainly great Marlon Brando as Jor-El and Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty for the most part really good. I say that because alot of this films cast do indeed turn in good performances but then there's Kate Bosworth who judging by this film has the acting the ability of a piece of wood because she's that bad in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this film is Sony Pictures Imageworks , Rhythm & Hues Studios , Framestore CFC , Frantic Films , The Orphanage , Rising Sun Pictures , Photon VFX , Pixel Liberation Front , Eden FX and Prime Focus World. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty OK at best for the most part since we do get quite a few dodgy looking CGI shots in this film and those do bring down the overall quality of the CGI in this very film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film is meant to be set within the confides of the Richard Donner Superman films universe which just raises alot more questions then what was perhaps intended. Since apparently five years have past since the events of Superman 2 and this film and yet there's alot of modern day technology that just wasn't there in the eighties and on top of all of that they get rid of the Eve Teschmacher character when she would have most likely have been around Lex at this point in time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film also repeats alot of the same plot points from the first film with Lex's plan in this film being almost the exact same plan that he had in the first film. Which just makes this film feel like a cheap carbon copy of the first film since all it's doing is just going the first film but only on repeat and that's not fun and it's not creative it's just lazy screen writing and lazy film making in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Speaking of repeating things this film has the gall to repeat the famous Superman and Lois Lane flying together romantic scene. However while it was something that was sweet and cute and earned in the first film in this film it feels like a cheap knockoff of that scene just hitting all of the same plot points but failing to understand why we liked that scene in the first place and on top of all of that Kate Bosworth and Brandon Routh have absolutely no chemistry together at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had a grand total running time of exactly two hours and thirty four minuets and nineteen seconds. Which does make this film one of if not the longest solo Superman live action film ever made however this film really didn't need to be that long at all since you very easily could have told this films plot in just around two hours and all you'd have to do is cut out all of the pointless scenes that this film has and that's really it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this film is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. The only issue is we don't get that much action and what little action we do get is OK at best and that's not good enough for a Superman film at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is quite a boring mess of a film however it does try to recapture the magic of the Richard Donner films but it fails to understand what made those films so special and so timeless and beloved in the first place in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very freaking film erns itself a freaking grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Superman fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being Google Images since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on Google Images are all fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
