TMNT Film Review
TMNT there have been a ton films featuring the heroes in a half shell but so far there's only been one animated film that's gotten a theatrical release. Which is weird and strange because with these characters still being as popular now as they were back in nineteen nineties you'd think that they have gotten alot more big animated but nope they didn't and so then join me as I review the film that has the dubious honor of being the only theatrically released animated TMNT film with the film in question being called simply just "TMNT" enjoy.
The plot of this film is Leonardo whom has been sent away for training by Splinter finally returns a year later then he should have and the turtles have a new enemy to face one that is well and truly immortal. Noe then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that freaking bad granted it's not as good as the nineteen ninety TMNT film but it's a damned sight better then the plot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is James Arnold Taylor as Leonardo , Nolan North as Raphael and Mikey Kelley as Michelangelo. Also starring in this film is Mitchell Whitfield as Donatello , Chris Evans as Casey Jones , Sarah Michelle Gellar as April O'Neil , Mako Iwamatsu as Splinter , Patrick Stewart as Max Winters , Zhang Ziyi as Karai , John DiMaggio as Colonel Santino , Kevin Michael Richardson as General Aguila , Paula Mattioli as General Serpiente , Fred Tatasciore as General Gato , Frank Welker as General Mono , Kevin Smith as A Cook and the great Laurence Fishburne as the voice of this films Narrator.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that freaking bad. Granted it's not that good either but the acting that we get to see in this film is alot better then what it really had any right to freaking be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Doing the animation for this film is a little known animation studio that is called simply just Imagi Animation Studios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but when you compare this film to over animated films that came in 2007 this film does come of as the worst one at least in terms of actual animation quality in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then onw of the things that I didn't like about this film is the fact that almost none of the turtles look all that different from each other visually. Which is a shame because this is something that the nineteen ninety film got right simply by adding in small little details which help us the viewer to distinguish each of the turtles and that's amount of care that's sorely missing from the designs of the turtles that are in this very film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
One of the other things that I really didn't like about this film is this films main villain simply because he just wasn't that interesting of a villain. Which is a shame because out of all of the turtles theatrically released film they've only managed to have one truly memorable villain in The Shredder and yet that's in this film is a just and boring and a stereotypical villain with nothing that's all that new added to his personality or even character in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
This film is also the film that introduces us to Karai and I have to say that I really liked what they did with her in this film. My only real issue with her in this film is the fact that we barely get to see her in this film and so we don't get the chance to find out who she is as both a character and as a person which is a shame because on paper she could be a really interesting but because this film was more focused on setting up a future sequel that we never got we don't get the chance to connect with Karai as a freaking character or as a person as well in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.
While I cannot remember whatever this films exact grand total running time was I do know for a fact that this films running time was that of roughly one hour and twenty six minuets long. Which if true I do believe would make the shortest ever theatrically released TMNT film but I do have to admit that this film should have been at the very least two hours long tho just because that would have then have allowed more of this films heavier moments to really land to and to sit well enough with this films kid audience in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then since this film is of course an action film that means that I do infact have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty the best thing about this film. Simply because this film takes the fullest advantage of the fact that's an animated film which does result of just straight cool action moments in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall while I can't say that this film is the worst theatrically released TMNT film with that honor still going to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 this film is also quite clearly not that there best either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very very review from the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / exact film being the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom wiki page simply because most of the images that I found and that are currently up on the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom wiki page are all shockingly high in freaking quality and as well as being shockingly freaking high in definition.
