Super Mario Bros.: The Movie Film Review

 

Video games fans for as long as there have been video games there have been video games movies and well then for the last few video games movies have only just started to actually good. However tho that wasn't always the case tho case in point the film that i'm going to be reviewing for you all right now and so then join me as I review the film that many consider to be the worst video games movie ever made with the film in question being called simply just "Super Mario Bros.: The Movie" enjoy.

The plot of this movie New York Italian plumbers Luigi and Mario have to save a princess and stop the evil King Koopa from taking over the world and using his de-evolution machine on the human race thus turning every single member of the human race into monkeys before it's far to freaking late. Now then in terms of what I thought / felt about the actual plot of this film in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot of this film wasn't that bad and that the actual plot of this film was very freaking entertaining to see play out indeed in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Bob Hoskins as Mario Mario , John Leguizamo as Luigi Mario and Dennis Hopper as King Koopa. Also starring in this film is Samantha Mathis as Princess Daisy , Fisher Stevens as Iggy , Richard Edson as Spike , Fiona Shaw as Lena , Mojo Nixon as Toad , John Fifer as Goomba Toad , Dana Kaminski as Daniella ,  Francesca P. Roberts as Big Bertha , Gianni Russo as Anthony Scapelli , Don Lake as Sgt. Simon and Lance Henriksen as The King.

Now then as for what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was passable as best and that is my being very freaking kind. Since the acting that's in this very freaking film ranges from passable at best to flat out and alot of that does sadly come from this films lack of an actual script and lack of actually good or even competent directors in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the actual CGI effects for this film is Animated Engineering , Magic Box Productions and Rushes. Now then in terms if what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI effects that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI effects that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film were very good for the time period that this film was made but have since aged very freaking horribly and or even poorly in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while this film wasn't the first adaptation of the Super Mario Bros game it was the first live action movie based of off the Super Mario Bros game. As such you'd have thought that the film makers would have gone out of there way to make the film actually you know good but nope they didn't instead they went out of there way it seems to make this film so unlike the game with characters from the game only being being those exact same characters in this film in name only which is going to make alot of Super Mario Bros really freaking angry and when those exact same fans are your core fanbase then you know that you've really messed up your freaking movie in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

So now the makers of this film chose to go with a more realistic approach to these characters might well work for characters like Batman or even Superman. However tho it doesn't work for these characters simply of the fact that the setting for this franchise is a fantasy and the second that you strip that away from these characters that when it becomes just a generic family comedy film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film had the courage to end on a cliff hanger which it really shouldn't have done since this film under performed so freaking badly that it didn't even make back it's budget when all was said and done. This means that we now have a cliff hanger ending that is never going to be resolved because nobody whom is in there right frame of mind is going touch this movies world with a ten foot freaking barge pole in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this film has / had a grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty four minuets and fifty two seconds. Which to this movies credits this films running is pretty the exact same running time that I think of when I think of a live action Super Mario Bros but tho it really doesn't help things when you take into account that this film only just freaking barely has enough story to cover that amount of actual running time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film is meant to be a comedy film after all and so that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in al honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was good but not for the right reasons. Simply because this films comedy is so bad that you can't help but laugh at it and same also goes for alot of the things that are in this very freaking film as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is just as bad as people say it is and yet at the exact same freaking time it's just as good and just as enjoyable as people say it is which in this case is a very freaking good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review which means that this film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Super Mario Bros fandom wiki page. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being Google Images this is because all of the images that I got and that currently up , featured and on Google Images are all very fairly freaking high in freaking quality and as well as being fairly freaking being fairly freaking high in freaking definition.
