Cars 2006 Film Review

 

PIXAR fans PIXAR has always turned out great films with nearly all of their films being very well loved however there is one franchise which is shall we very divisive at best and that's the Cars franchise. Since people either love or loath these films and well I thought that i'd take a look back at the very first film just to see if it's that good of a film and join me as I review the film that kickstarted the freaking Cars franchise with the freaking film itself being called simply just "Cars" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a hot shot young racer has just a few days to fix a broken road in a small deserted town and that's really it in terms of actual plot for this film. Now then in terms of what I thought / felt  about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was at best OK which for this franchise an OK plotline is freaking fantastic in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.  

Starring in this film is Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen , Paul Newman as Doc Hudson and Bonnie Hunt as Sally Carrera. Also starring in this film is Larry The Cable Guy as Mater , Tony Shalhoub as Luigi , Cheech Marin as Ramone , Michael Wallis as Sheriff , George Carlin as Fillmore , Paul Dooley as Sarge , Jenifer Lewis as Flo , Guido Quaroni as Guido , Richard Petty as Strip "The King" Weathers , Michael Keaton as Chick Hicks , Katherine Helmond as Lizzie , Joe Ranft as Red and John Ratzenberger as Mack.

Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this film in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this film wasn't that bad. However the issue is that the acting that's in this film wasn't that good either either which is a shame because alot of this films cast have turned some really freaking solid performances in other projects and are some actually really freaking good actors and actresses in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for this film is of course the legends and the greats that are of course currently over at PIXAR and well if you've seen any PIXAR film then you know exactly what i'm going to say next> Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this actual film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this actual was in fact really freaking good and is perhaps the best aspect of this film for me personally in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this film as I mentioned at the very start of this review kickstarted the whole Cars franchise. However tho that franchise suffered a very slight derailment with the franchises second film called simply "Cars 2" which is the film that many people myself included think or even consider to be the very freaking worst PIXAR film ever made simply because has no heart and has nothing that would make a PIXAR film that great to begin with in the first freaking place in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then the Cars films are pretty much the PIXAR version of the stereotypical sports movie since this film has the young upstart whom thinks that he's unbeatable whom now has to team up with a grizzled veteran whom helps win the big whatever it is that the young upstart is going after. However that is really were the similarities end since our main hero doesn't win the big tournament which even then you could very well make the argument is a sports movie cliché in of itself in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.  

So now then even tho this film is a very kid friendly PIXAR film it's still not that very much of a good film. Since this film does have alot of issues with it chief among which is the fact that this films main cast of characters have no actual character or personality to speak whatsoever and as such all of this films main cast of characters just come across as stereotypes and are rather freaking dimensional characters in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had a grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty six minuets and thirty five seconds. Which yeah is a tad bit of really freaking long running time for what is essentially a kids films that has very little therein terms of actual plot , story and character and as such I see no reason whatsoever as to why this film couldn't have come it at around one hour and thirty minuets since that would be the absolutely perfect running time for a film like this one right here in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this film is a comedy film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty a very mixed bag for me personally. This is simply because alot of this films jokes are very pun based which means that the same kind of joke gets told over and over again because joke of the film is that there cars doing average human things and there's only so many car puns that you can do before it starts to get very freaking old and old fast in the case of this film anyways in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is perhaps the second best / greatest ever Cars film ever made thus far simply because there is / there's actual effort put into this film and you can quite clearly tell / see that there is infact a great film just freaking trying to get out of this mediocre very freaking film in my freaking opinions anyways /at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.
