Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas Review

Now then Disney this is a review i was going to do nearer the time but i thought why not get it out now since it could hopefully put everyone in the christmas spirit so here we go with my review of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas.

Now this film doesn't have one story instead it has three with the first one being Huey, Dewey and Louie wish for it to be christmas everyday and it pretty much goes the way you expect it to go the second story is Goofy and Max try to see if Santa is real or not and honestly this one for me was the most heartwarming of them all the third and final story is Mickey and Minnie try to get the perfect gift for each other that's really all there is to that story.

The film stars Wayne Allwine , Russi Taylor , Tony Anselmo , Tress MacNeille and Diane Michelle. Honestly the voice acting was pretty good i wasn't expecting anything top notch since it's a straight to DVD Disney Christmas movie but with all that in mind the acting was good altho for some reason Daisy has two voice actors with both Tress and Diane playing the character in two different stories that two me made no sense at all but i have to say i loved Kelsey Grammer as the Narrator.

Again for a straight to DVD Disney film the animation was shockingly good and i don't just mean for the Mickie and Minnie story i mean for the whole film all of the characters have a great amount of energy to them which only helped sell their respective stories. The team also blend the hand drawn 2D animation with small amounts of CGI and while it does stand out it doesn't detract from the main story.

As well as having alot of humor this film also comes with a lot of heart and they actually do work well together there are some generally funny moments especially in the Goofy story and there's alot of heart warming moments as well and i wasn't expecting that from Disney especially late 90's Disney so i have to give the film credit for going to places that most of there films at that time weren't going.

I do have some complaints with the first one being they still didn't give Huey , Dewy or Louie much of a personality despite them having 9 years (since the end of the original Ducktales) to give them all one and the other one being the ending of the film does seem a bit cheesey and the same could be said for the end of the Donald Duck story as well but at the same time i'd understand if you didn't think that.

Overall if you want something that will warm your heart and will hopefully get you and any young ones into the christmas mood then you can't go wrong with this film and yes i might do it's sequel soon but there's another special i want to do as well but this movie gets a 6 out of 10.
